Trying to upload audio and am relentlessly getting this message There is A Network Problem. If I click details, I get this: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
BadContentUploaded content is unacceptable.Item metadata collection value refers to nonexistant collection: ccfb270b-2caa-4fe6-8427-f99f26575f28

Any solution? I keep clicking Resume Uploading and getting the same results.

What artist are you trying to upload to?

This error is generally the result of one of three issues:

1. The artist you indicated does not yet have a collection, or the collection was only set up today and is not yet in the drop down list.
2. You typed out the artist name instead of selecting it from the drop down list and made an error in typing the name.
3. The artist you are trying to upload has a period "." in their identifier.

For 1 or 2, you can only upload to artists that are in the drop down list and best practice is to select it from the list and not type it out.

For 3, this is a bug - please contact us at etree@archive.org for assistance.

Unfortunately, it is not the same problem that Scott had. Yours is just a try again later solution, unfortunately. There is a network connection issue either on your side or the Archive's side and you just need to try later.

"2. You typed out the artist name instead of selecting it from the drop down list"

this was my issue and i didn't figure it out until i read your post here.

can i suggest a helping hint be added to that section of the upload screen? something like "make sure you start typing the artist name slowly and select the correct name from the drop down list" so that people can figure it out without having to find this post?

Appreciate the feedback. From the rollout of the new uploader earlier this year, we suggested some verification before actually proceeding to the next step. It is on the list, just not sure when it will happen.

Having this same problem. Just successfully uploaded https://archive.org/details/moe2019-07-04.fob.tlm170.flac16

But am getting this "There Is A Network Problem" error for the same band/show but just the 24 bit version which I'm trying to use the identifier https://archive.org/details/moe2019-07-04.fob.tlm170.flac24

None of the 3 conditions that you mention above apply, Rory.

Help!

Scott, can you please email us a screenshot where we can see all the fields? Please send to etree@archive.org. I'm about to head out to a show, so may not get back to you until later, but maybe another admin will see it and try to help.
